This is a myristoylated peptide used as a control for the pseudosubstrate PKC Zeta. Scrambled ZIP has been used as a control for ZIP as it has identical amino acids as that of ZIP but in an altered sequence that decreases its efficacy by 3- to 4-fold. It has been used in studies to compare the effectiveness or activity of the pseudosubstrate.
