Functions | Alpha-conotoxins bind to the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChR) and inhibit them. In contrast to other alpha- conotoxins, this peptide has no detectable activity at the muscle subtype of receptor, but instead, it potently targets neuronal nAChR. This peptide reversibly blocks alpha-3/beta-2 subunits of nAChR. |
