Ipamorelin is a ghrelin mimetic displaying growth hormone (GH) releasing activity. Ipamorelin binds to ghrelin receptor (or GH secretagogue receptor, GHSR) in the brain and promotes the GH release. It has been investigated for the treatment of ileus and gastrointestinal dysmotility.
