Z-Asu(OtBu)-OH · DCHA is a protected amino acid derivative in which the amino acid backbone is capped with a benzyloxycarbonyl (Z/Cbz) group and the side-chain bears a tert-butyl ester-protecting group, yielding a carboxylic acid functionality at the α-position.
