ALGAL AMINO ACID MIXTURE (U-15N) is a mixture of amino acids derived from algal biomass in which the nitrogen content is uniformly labeled with 15N, providing a set of proteinogenic and/or naturally occurring amino acid components for isotopic tracing and analytical studies. Each amino acid in the mixture contains the characteristic amino and carboxyl functional groups, with side-chain chemistries spanning polar, nonpolar, acidic, and basic functionalities while retaining the native carbon skeletons of the constituent amino acids. The uniformly 15N-labeled composition is used as an isotopically enriched substrate set for mass spectrometry-based quantification, metabolic flux or incorporation experiments, and chemical biology workflows that require distinguishing labeled amino acid-derived signals from unlabeled backgrounds.
