Z-L-Phe-CHN2

Z-L-Phe-CHN2 contains an L-phenylalanine-derived amino acid framework bearing a diazomethyl (CHN2) functional group on the carboxamide side, with a benzyl-type Z (benzyloxycarbonyl) protecting group present on the amino functionality. The molecule therefore features a protected α-amino moiety and a carboxyl-derived linkage consistent with an amino acid derivative rather than a free amino acid, while the CHN2 substituent provides a diazo functionality that can participate in chemical transformations used in labeling and synthetic diversification.
